Level Up, 2024!

With Amanda Strickland McCall

January 26 - 28, 2024

Join Amanda McCall, LPC for this relaxing and transformative retreat that is currently held only once a year!

Want to learn proven strategies to give your New Year’s resolutions a huge boost this year?  Join Amanda McCall, Licensed Psychotherapist, for this inspiring and relaxing retreat which combines mindfulness instruction with powerful strategies for motivation and focus.

Many people assume that they will not be able to change their long held habits such as procrastination and/or difficulty sticking to a task or goal, but research has shown that these habits can be changed at any age.  Great news, right!?!  This is possible because of neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to change over time, which is important when trying to improve Executive Functioning  (a range of cognitive skills that help us regulate our behavior and accomplish goals). This retreat will focus on improving Executive Functioning as well as enhancing motivation all year long.

Level Up, 2024 will be both informative and restorative.  You will be learning straight-forward and easy to implement steps, supplemented with plenty of discussions and examples of real-life application.  Expect a healthy dose of humor as well as reminders to be compassionate with yourself.  In addition,  mindfulness techniques will be threaded throughout the program, because a calm mind helps with both learning and implementing your new skills upon returning to daily life.

***Each activity is completely optional. All participants should feel free to make their retreat experience what they would like***

Included in the Retreat:

  • Multiple learning sessions each day with Amanda, including guided relaxation and visualization exercises.
  • Plenty of free time to soak up the relaxing and transformative qualities of Elohee’s grounds and facilities.
  • Enriching discussions on how to apply both mindfulness and related executive functioning skills in an effort to create new and lasting habits in 2024.
  • Optional Massage/ Spa services *not included in program fee*.
  • Optional yoga class on Saturday
  • Healthy, chef-prepared meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, accommodating a variety of diets including vegetarian, vegan, omnivore, and pescatarian.  Gluten free options are available as well.
  • Guided nature walk through Elohee’s diverse ecosystems featuring a 100ft mountainside waterfall.

Here is what retreat participants are saying:

“Amanda was great!  She has such a calming and compassionate pretense that welcomed comments and feedback that felt helpful.  The resources that she gave and utilized are going to be helpful for me in the future, and I feel excited and rejuvenated!  Thank you so much!”

“Well planned/organized, giving options/choices of what works best for each individual.”

“Level Up exceeded my expectations.  I have never participated in a retreat like this before.  Honestly, had it only been focused on mindfulness and meditation, it would not have hooked me into coming.  I picked up so many tips, and the mindfulness exercises were great and have given me the confidence to explore this more.”

“Excellent information provided to us!  The content of the information was delivered in a way that everyone was engaged and could relate.  This was my second retreat with Amanda, and I can’t wait for more!”

“I had no idea what to expect and had never been to a retreat before.  It was an exceptional experience.  I did not engage with my phone the entire time and did not feel anxious about it. When the weekend was over, my overwhelming feeling was I had allowed myself to calm my overstimulated nervous system for 2 days straight and that was incredibly beneficial.  The schedule helped me to feel like I was still accomplishing things and it helped me with my anxiety but I still didn’t feel restricted by it.  You could not have chosen a better place to hold the retreat.  It was a gift to be there alone.  You did a wonderful job at making me feel comfortable and safe with me and I thank you for the goody bag!  It was very wonderful, and this will not be my last retreat for sure, or my last time at Elohee.  Thank you for an amazing weekend.”

“The food was AMAZING!  So healthy and delicious!”

“Thank you for your energy, enthusiasm, and gifts of wisdom.”

This weekend was amazing- this is the first retreat I have done, but it will not be the last”.  You are engaging and informed on the topics and provide an interactive experience, allowing participants time to ask questions and respond to you and each other.”

“I have been to Elohee many times, and this retreat was so exactly what I needed!  I would like to attend your next one.”
