Red and green are the colors of the season.  Elohee’s Executive Chef, Craig King, has created two spectacular, superfood dressings/sauces to assist with your holiday celebrations.

Nature provides beautiful ingredients.  The arrangement of these ingredients, with careful attention to how the flavors play off of each other, is the alchemy of salad dressings and sauces. Using plants, herbs, and spices to create something extraordinarily pleasing to the palette while delivering nutritional nourishment is the outcome of these two dressings. Enjoy and display these festive, healthy red & green sauces as part of your holiday offering. 

Cilantro Toasted Pumpkin 

  • 16 oz water
  • 1 can (13-14 oz) coconut milk
  • 6 oz lime juice, fresh preferable
  • 6 oz fresh cilantro 
  • 4 oz toasted pumpkin seeds 
  • 4 oz olive oil 
  • 2 oz toasted sesame oil 
  • 10 cloves of roasted garlic
  • 2 oz wheat free tamari 
  • 3 tbl cayenne pepper 

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until incorporated and smooth.

Green

Hibiscus Rose with Wine & Dragon Fruit

  • Hibiscus Tea brewed in 6 oz of water plus 4 oz of red wine (allow to cool). Yes, brew the tea with the wine!
  • 1 can of coconut milk with 10 grams of rosebuds/petals steeped for 30 minutes. 
  •  6 oz olive oil 
  • 4 oz lime juice
  • 4 oz fresh ginger peeled and chopped
  • 6 cloves of roasted garlic
  • 10 grams dragon fruit powder
  • 2 oz wheat free tamari 
  • 1 tbl cayenne

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until incorporated and smooth.
