Carmen Stewart

Carmen has 3 children: Cadence-13yrs, Christa-10yrs, and Coleton-4yrs. She has been married for 14 years to Clay Stewart. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and after moving around for a good bit of her childhood, she ended up here in Georgia. After getting married she moved out to Cartersville, and she has been here ever since.

Carmen has always been drawn to learning more about the human body and how it works. She decided to pursue a pre-med degree at Georgia State University. She graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor’s of Science. Shortly after graduating, she found out my mother had leukemia and passed away in March of 2006. As a result, Carmen decided to no longer pursue a career in the medical field.

Carmen’s grief, depression and years of childhood trauma began to cause her health to decline immensely. After the birth of her daughter, Cadence, in 2007, Carmen decided to begin to make a change. Her passion for health and taking care of her body returned. It was because of this renewed passion and fire from God that she desired to not only improve her health, but eventually lead others to improve their quality of life, as well.

Carmen’s passion for teaching Christ-Focused fitness classes began to evolve over 8 years ago, which then led to Christ-Focused yoga classes over the past 6 years. She has taught classes at the YMCA, The Church at Liberty Square, Cedarcrest Church, Excel Christian Academy, and Mount Paran Christian School. She has also done some personal training and held private group sessions at her home studio. She is currently certified by ACE fitness, Revelation Wellness, Holy Yoga, and Yoga Faith. Carmen is accredited at a 200hr level with Yoga Alliance, and is also accredited through CYA (Christian Yoga Association) as a Master Level Trainer through Yoga Faith.
